EXCLUSIVE: Miles Teller (Michael) has inked a deal to star in Copperhead, a new thriller from King Ivory helmer John Swab and Black Label Media.
Written by Chad Feehan and J. Todd Scott, Copperhead‘s plot is thrust in motion when an undercover drug deal explodes into violence in West Texas. A veteran detective is then forced to team with a young federal agent to unravel the conspiracy within their elite task force.
Black Label is financing and producing alongside Teller’s Lime Tree Productions and Swab’s Milk Boy, with production to kick off in August.
Most recently seen playing John Branca, executor of the Michael Jackson estate, in Antoine Fuqua’s Michael, which shattered opening-weekend records with a $217 million worldwide debut and is nearing $900M worldwide, Teller will next be seen starring alongside Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson in James Gray’s Paper Tiger, which premiered to critical acclaim at Cannes and will be released by Neon. He is repped by CAA and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
